Inna Artemova (* 1972 born in Moscow) lives and works in Berlin since 1998. The paintings of the artist have surreal elements and associate – at first glance – the socialist art. On second sight Artemova’s artworks reveal their connection of past and present, thus evoking completely new kind of „witnesses“. The viewer is provided a very intimate look inside Russian history in small doses of daily life.
